An article written by two Medaille College professors, two Medaille graduate students and a local psychologist has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Addiction Medicine and Therapeutic Science. The article, titled “PTSD and Intimate Partner Violence: Clinical Considerations and Treatment Options,” was coauthored by Medaille assistant professors Dr. Keith Klostermann and René A. Jones; clinical mental health counseling student Emma Papagni; doctor of clinical psychology student Melissa Mahadeo; and Theresa Mignone-Klostermann, a psychologist at the Buffalo VA Medical Center.

Klostermann, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, is an internationally recognized behavioral couples therapy (BCT) expert, while Jones is director of Medaille’s marriage and family therapy program. Papagni and Mahadeo are part of Dr. Klostermann’s research team, and recently joined him, Dr. Jones, and Mignone-Klostermann as authors of an article for the ARC Journal of Psychiatry.
