The Medaille College Libraries would like to invite everyone to an

INK Event on Tuesday, September 30th from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM in the Buffalo Campus Library.

This INK event will wrap up Banned Books Week, which is being celebrated this week in Libraries throughout the country.

During this INK event, Medaille students, faculty and staff will get the chance to share their support of freedom to seek and to express ideas, even when some may be unorthodox or unpopular to some communities.

INK in the Library understands that not everyone feels comfortable sharing aloud, therefore if attendees just want to sit back, enjoy some snacks, and listen to what others have to say, they are more than welcome to do so.

As Banned Books week concludes, the Medaille College Libraries wants you to think about those books that may be challenged or banned; those books that have been removed or restricted from some Libraries, schools and communities.

If you would like to share your thoughts, please complete the sentence below in your own words.

“This book should/should not be banned because…”

These responses will remain anonymous, however they will be posted in the Library for individuals to see and reflect upon.

Please send the book title and author, along with your sentence tolibmail@medaille.edu by Friday, September 26th.
