Our PSY 298 Body Modification Class will be offering 2 opportunities for the Medaille Community to talk with us about the research our class conducted this semester.
Students in this class collected data concerning why people modify their bodies, specifically tattooing and piercing. They also examined the meanings represented in people’s tattoos, identifying common themes and patterns in what people try to express about themselves and their identities by modifying their bodies.
Please stop by during our research presentations and talk with students about their experiences, what they learned about body modification, and how their data support or refute some of the common myths and notions about body modification.
Thursday, December 5, 2:20pm – 3:45pm in Main 100
Friday, December 6, 12:30pm – 1:30pm on the mezzanine of Sullivan, between Student Affairs and Freshens
Looking forward to seeing you there!
