Buffalo’s Future: New Jobs in the New Economy – Are We Ready?

Faculty and staff are invited to join us on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in the Lecture Hall for this next installment in our Buffalo’s Future Series. There will be a welcome reception with drinks and light refreshments held at 5:30 p.m. in the Main Building foyer prior to the presentation.

The future is bringing a new economy to Buffalo and a demand for a skilled workforce to fill the many jobs created. But how will Buffalo’s economy be affected if we don’t have a trained and ready workforce? Our panel of experts in workforce development will explore what kinds of jobs are coming and what we need to do to ready our human capital to ensure economic success.

Dr. Macur will serve as moderator and lead our panelists in the discussion about our future workforce needs:

  • Amber Dixon ’90, CEO, Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology
  • Jeff Conrad, Senior Director, Buffalo Niagara Partnership
  • Heather Gresham, Executive Director, Workforce Investment Board
  • Scott Pallotta, CEO, Zehnder-Rittling

All Buffalo’s Future programs are free and open to the public, so invite your students, family and friends. Registration is required at https://buffalosfuturemay2017.eventbrite.com.
