Students in Associate Professor of English Dr. Alice Villaseñor’s Children’s Literature course (ENG 375) visited the Buffalo City Mission’s Cornerstone Manor on Thursday, November 16 to donate new reading materials to the after-school program and to read to the children.  As part of a semester-long community-based learning project, students worked with Dr. Villaseñor and Library Director Andy Yeager to research age-appropriate books to add to the materials used by LEAP (Literacy Enrichment Afterschool Program).

Special thanks to Assistant Director of Student Involvement Lisa Kragbé for her help coordinating the community-based learning project this semester. Thanks are also due to Maximus, who was a wonderful addition to this most recent fieldtrip.
