On November 7, the Department of Education Reading Center sponsored an author visit with children’s autor Dr. Virginia Batchelor to celebrate KidsLit Week as part of the Western New York Children’s Book Expo (WNYCBE) literacy festivities. Dr. Batchelor read her empowering book, Stop Calling Me That!  My Name is Araminta!  Dr. Batchelor was a spotlighted local author of the WNYCBE that took place on November 11 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. The WNYCBE is an annual free family community literacy event. The Dr. Batchelor reading event took place under the guidance of Clinical Assistant Professor Michelle Cefaratti.
