Dr. Alice Villaseñor Presents at the Annual General Meeting of the Jane Austen Society of North America
Dr. Alice Villaseñor recently presented a lecture at the Annual General Meeting of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) in Colonial Williamsburg, VA. Her presentation, “Edward Austen Knight’s Godmersham Library and Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey,” highlights the marginalia she has discovered in books from the estate library of one of Jane Austen’s brothers.
Villaseñor has been asked to give a similar lecture at the November meeting of the Central and Western New York Region of JASNA for the benefit of members who were unable to travel to Virginia for the annual conference. The lecture will take place in the Community Room of the Pittsford Barnes and Noble at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16. The event is free and open to the public.
Villaseñor is pictured taking chocolate with George Wythe at R. Charlton’s Coffeehouse.
