Dr. Susan Dunkle, an associate professor in Medaille’s Department of Education, presented recently at the 10th Multidisciplinary Academic Conference (MAC) on Education, Teaching and Learning in Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Dunkle’s topic was The recruitment of graduate students: a triangulation of methods to determine a “good fit” in universities and colleges.

The Multidisciplinary Conference brings scholars, educators and PhD students from all over the world to present their work and receive critical feedback from their colleagues. This year’s attendees came from Thailand, Russia, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, China and the United States. The participants were able to offer enriching viewpoints and suggestions based on the educational systems in their home countries.

Dr. Dunkle has taught at Medaille since 2006, instructing undergraduate and graduate students in math, science and technology methods of education, philosophical foundations of education, curriculum planning and children’s literature. She has also advised student teachers and directed master’s thesis projects.
