Internationally recognized behavioral couples therapy (BCT) expert Keith Klostermann, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, an assistant professor in Medaille’s master’s in marriage and family therapy program, will receive the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors’ (IAMFC) Training and Mentorship Award during the IAMFC World Conference in New Orleans on February 2-4.

The Training and Mentorship Award honors the contributions of an IAMFC member whose role as a trainer and mentor has helped to ensure the future of the family counseling profession. In addition, the award highlights the work of educators, like Dr. Klostermann, who have succeeded in nurturing the talents of students entering the field.

As previously announced, Dr. Klostermann will speak at the conference, during a session titled “Behavioral Couples Therapy for Substance Use Disorders.” The IAMFC, a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA), promotes excellence in the practice of couples and family counseling.
