Medaille College President Kenneth M. Macur, Ph.D., was recently interviewed by WBEN-AM radio on the costs of college. During the interview, Dr. Macur discussed trends in higher education, and also offered some advice for parents and prospective students.

“When you’re heading off to college, think about what your first career is going to be, then think about what major gets you to that career, and then think about the best schools for your ability to pursue that major,” says Dr. Macur. “Once you’re at that major, and you’re thinking about the college, go out and apply for every dollar of financial aid you can get. Because there are a lot of interesting [financial aid opportunities].”
