Medaille’s annual Founders’ Day Celebration is just days away, and promises to be memorable evening that highlights the College’s history and investment in the City of Buffalo and funds scholarship that improve academic opportunities for young Western New Yorkers. Founders’ Day 2015 on Thursday, May 21, also features a live auction, entertainment, food and cocktails in one of the area’s architectural jewels.
The historic Connecticut Street Armory is the location for this year’s event, which provides members of the community with an opportunity to see some of the faces of the College, and learn how they are shaping the future of Western New York. Founders’ Day also promotes access to the educational opportunities that lead students to career success, and a lifelong commitment to a civic and sustainable future for the benefit of the entire community.
“The annual Medaille Founders’ Day event is a great way to recognize Buffalo’s college and raise money for scholarships to celebrate tomorrow’s shining leaders,” says event co-chair Heidi Raphael ’85, a member of Medaille’s Board of Trustees and Vice President of Corporate Communications with Greater Media, Inc. She is joined as chair by Gary Bichler, Partner at R&P Oak Hill Development, LLC.
The evening will include entertainment from the Buffalo Dolls and Serendipity Swing, as well as a live auction featuring auctioneer Kelly Schultz. Unique auction items include a four-night Yellowstone vacation, use of the Delaware North Corporate Suite for 18 guests at a Buffalo Sabres game and a downtown Buffalo excursion weekend.
