The Buffalo Quarters Historical Society, a community-based organization co-founded by Medaille College professor Dr. Virginia A. Batchelor, will hold an interfaith consecration and time capsule celebration at Broderick Park on June 3. The event starts at 4 p.m. at the park, located at the foot of Ferry Street in Buffalo.

The Buffalo Quarters Historical Society works to educate Western New York and Southern Ontario about Broderick Park’s role as an important route for enslaved people traveling from the United States to Canada seeking freedom. In addition to the interfaith consecration, a time capsule celebration will enclose historical artifacts for 100 years.
