Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians. This Fall semester, the BIO422L Herpetology Lab will be hosting a seminar series. Guest speakers will be visiting Medaille (virtually) to discuss the importance of reptiles and amphibians in their scientific research.

The first presentation in this seminar series will start at 2 p.m. this Friday, October 30 on Blackboard Collaborate. (Please click on the link to join in!)

The inaugural seminar will feature a presentation on the Rise of Reptiles by Dr. Hans Sues, Senior Scientist and Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the National Museum of Natural History of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.

Dr. Sues will be speaking about the Rise of Reptiles. He has authored a book by the same name that is available for free on Project Muse.

Expect that there may be some Dinosaurs in the presentation! (Please click Here to join in!)
