Keith Klostermann, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, an assistant professor in Medaille’s master’s in marriage and family therapy program, is part of an international team that has received funding for a multi-year proposal to be conducted in Edinburgh, Scotland. Entitled “Behavioral Couples Therapy as an Adjunct to Opiod Substitution Therapy for Drug Dependent Patients: A Feasibility Study,” the project also involves investigators from Edinburgh University and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Klostermann will be traveling to Scotland to provide training in behavioral couples therapy to the individuals selected to provide the treatment and will assist in monitoring therapist adherence and competence in delivering the intervention. He will also assist in data analysis and write-up of the results.
