The first Medaille Summer Theatre (MST) Camp concluded on July 27 with a memorable final performance. Running from July 9-27, the camp gave young theatre artists between the ages of 12 and 17 the chance to create and produce their own original plays. The students were instructed by Jon Elston, the co-founder of Road Less Traveled Productions and an adjunct instructor in Medaille’s Interdisciplinary Studies Department, and playwright Bella Poynton.

“MST showcased 13 world-premiere plays by our student ensemble,” says Elston. “Bella and I were thrilled that our students rose to the occasion and delivered a confident, professional and polished evening of final work. All the students had tremendous fun creating their own plays and supporting one another’s visions, while an audience of over 100 family members and friends cheered on this one-of-a-kind night of theatre.”
