Dr. Bridgette Slavin, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Division of Liberal Arts and Communications, recently submitted a contribution to a book of essays on murder in the Middle Ages.  Dr. Slavin’s essay, “Secret Murder and Magic in Medieval Irish Legal and Ecclesiastical Texts,” examines penalties for homicide by practices percieved as supernatural in early medieval Ireland. The volume of essays, Murder Most Foul: Murder in the Middle Ages, will be published by Brill later in 2016.
