On Saturday, April 22, 12 students from the Pathways program, along with a number of staff, visited the Ontario Community Garden in the Riverside neighborhood of Buffalo for our inaugural Pathways to Service event. Volunteers spent around two hours at the site cleaning up the area, digging up old rose bushes to make way for new gardens, building several raised beds, weeding the garden and constructing a compost bin out of blocks. Although the weather was a bit chilly, everyone enjoyed themselves, and we were able to make quite a positive impact on this small community garden and the surrounding area.

We look forward to continuing and expanding this community service initiative in the future!
