On September 21, 2016, Medaille held the first of three events in support of its freshman read program, called, This Medaille Believes- Faculty Readings. Dr. James Ramsey, Dr. Susan Dunkle, Val Macer, and Tom Orrange each read their own personal This I Believe essays titled, “My Story”, “The Power of Asking for Help”, “The Gift of the Starfish Throwers”, and “Our Role in a Random World”, respectively. The next event is a student led chat on Wednesday, October 19th at 12:30 in room H208. The final event will be on Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 in the Library. Our last event will reveal the winners of Medaille’s This Medaille Believes student essay contest and will also feature an open mic for anyone that would like to share their own essay.
