Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce the College will be offering  a series of wellness programs for all employees who are interested.

Yoga and Relaxation for Stress Management will be the first program offered.  Training  sessions will be held from 4:30 – 5:30 in the President’s Dining Room on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, September 30
  • Wednesday, October 7
  • Wednesday, October 14

Our trainer, Sarah Gugliemi, has taught yoga since 2002 in corporate, studio, and clinical settings.   Sarah serves on the faculty of the Himalayan Institute, and resides at their Buffalo location.  She holds classes in Buffalo and travels nationally to teach yoga workshops and yoga teacher trainings.  Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Delaware, and completed an eight year engineering career with W.L. Gore and Associates, prior to joining the Institute in 2004.

Each class will begin with a short discussion on an aspect of stress, and how it impacts the body and mind.  This will be followed by an experiential practice of movement, stretching, and relaxation designed to counter stress and restore energy and balance.
