Join us at Medaille College on Thursday, November 9 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. as we welcome children’s author and Medaille’s own faculty member, Dr. Virginia Batchelor, to the Department of Education Reading Center to celebrate KidsLit Week. Dr. Batchelor will read her empowering book, Stop Calling Me That! My Name is Araminta! The event will be in the Reading Center at 77 Humboldt on the Medaille Buffalo Campus. If we outgrow the space, we will relocate to the Main Building Lecture Hall. To register go to http://www.medaille.edu/medaille-college-author-visit-dr-virginia-batchelor.

KidsLit Week is part of the Western New York Children’s Book Expo (WNYCBE) festivities. Dr. Batchelor is a spotlighted local author who will be signing her books the WNYCBE. The WNYCBE is a free literacy event that will take place at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m.-3.p.m. Check out the WNYCBE website for details.
