Associate Professor of English Dr. Alice Villaseñor will appear as a virtual speaker at the 2021 Jane Austen Festival, which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky. The hybrid festival will take place from Friday, July 9, to Sunday, July 11, but access to speaker session recordings will run through July 31.

This year’s festival theme is “Race, Power & the Arts in Jane Austen’s World.” Villaseñor will be talking about From Prada to Nada (2011), which is a film adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility (1811) set in Los Angeles.
