Dr. Alice Villaseñor will give a talk on Zoom for The Central and Western New York Region of The Jane Austen Society of North America on Saturday, November 20.

The talk is called “The Business of Marriage in Jane Austen’s England,” and it is designed to be an introduction to the patriarchal culture (legal, financial, and social) that Austen’s heroines negotiate.
