On Wednesday, November 3, the Education Graduate Student Society (EGSS) hosted a virtual roundtable where current educators working in the field provided Medaille’s future teachers with advice. Educators from both the United States and Canada participated in a Google Jamboard that provided advice for students’ first-years, careers and lives in the field of educaiton. Additionally, students in the Department of Education were able to ask current educators questions on relevant current topics such as virtual learning, interviewing techniques, communication with parents, developing IEPs, classroom set-up and management, administrative observations, etc. A recording of this event can be made available for anyone who was unable to attend by contacting the EGSS Faculty Advisor, Dr. Caitlin Riegel.
