The Intercultural Dialogues Committee would like to thank everyone who shared #1thing at the March 22 open mic event celebrating #medaillecommunities! Faculty, staff and students celebrated the diversity of Medaille’s communities through the sharing of poetry, music, stories, opinions, personal experiences and cultural traditions. Special thanks to the library for hosting. Thanks, also, to Dr. Lori Quigley for serving as the MC and for opening the event with a Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address.
The committee has a few upcoming events, and we want to invite the entire campus community to attend:
- Monday, April 10 at 4 p.m. (Lecture Hall) – Buffalo News reporter and photographer to speak about his series about refugees in Buffalo.
- Tuesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. (M234) – Screening of the film 13th followed by discussion. Pizza will be served!
- Wednesday, April 19 at 12:30 p.m. (M334) – Meeting of the Intercultural Dialogues Committee. All members of the campus community are invited to join us.
- Saturday, April 22 – Science March sign-making session and carpool to the Buffalo march (more details to follow).
