Dr. Casey Thomas Jakubowski, Assistant Professor of Education in Medaille’s Department of Education , will be presenting his paper “Engaging Under Engaged Voices”  at the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE), via zoom. Dr. Jakubowski’s paper examines how education and policy researchers can “listen” to subaltern populations who are often excluded from public policy discourse by utilizing web post sites that are anonymous.

This paper emerges from his 2020 SUNY Albany dissertation on rural school consolidation in upstate rural New York. The project utilizes an urban normative and metrocentric evaluation of policy analysis.
