The EQUIP Steering Group and the Faculty Development Committee have collaborated in the development of a Faculty Development Workshop that will address diversity issues in the classroom.  We would appreciate it if you would “save-the-date” below; further information will be forthcoming a few weeks prior to the event that will also include the full day agenda.

Friday, January 10, 2014

Location:                              Jacobs Executive Development Center (formerly Butler Mansion)

Workshop Speaker:        Peggy McIntosh, Ph.D., Associate Director, Wellesley Centers for Women and Founder and Senior Associate, National SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Project on Inclusive Curriculum

Presentation Topic:         A definition and demonstration of how faculty should deal with the range of diversity and social identity issues in the classroom.

Dr. McIntosh will present in the morning; the afternoon will be concurrent sessions provided by Medaille Faculty.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing everyone at the workshop.
