Medaille College welcomed three individuals to serve on a panel to field student questions in an MOL 623X class (Systems Thinking and the Learning Organization) this past week.  The panel consisted of Nick Pitillo, owner of Osteria 166 restaurant and the Villagio restaurant and a Master of Organizational Leadership graduate; Jeanine Purcell, Director of Philanthropy at Medaille College and a MAOL graduate; and Joseph Wolfson, a Medaille College graduate and presently the CEO of three companies and a former long-time member of the College’s Board of Trustees.

The theme of the questions posed to  the panel revolved around how leadership, organizational learning, and systemic thinking moves from the classroom to being actually applied by leaders in organizations.  For example, how does knowing about these things transfer into becoming  a leader of these activities? The three panelists fielded questions from students for close to an hour and a half in a really exciting exchange of Q & A.
