Medaille College held its first annual Information Systems Tech Expo on December 9, 2015. The event had a great turnout with over 150 attendees, 20 tech vendors, numerous guest speakers and unique technology demonstrations. The Tech Expo highlighted Medaille’s information technology programs to employees from local businesses, Buffalo’s tech-savvy community and various area schools. Five speaker seminars were presented by industry professionals including David Stinner from UsiTek, William Prone from Dopkins & Company, Aaron Steinitz from M&T Bank, Mark Manion from Meridian IT, and Renita DiStefano from Seneca Niagara Casino. Demonstrations included a 3-D printer that created a baby dinosaur, robotics, and a drone by No Limit Drone Co. that showcased aerial camera abilities. Buffalo Touring Company demonstrated its trendy Segway Personal Transporter devices throughout the event. Vendors included US iTek, Bak USA, Meridian IT, InfoTech, ZIP Networks Loptr, Buffalo Erie County Library Systems, ID Shield, Microsoft, CompTia, Ronco Communications, Axis New York, Vitec Solutions,, Fields Hobby Drone Co., Verizon, Vera View, Buffalo Gaming, Windstream Communications, Dopkins & Company, No Limit Drone, and VA of Buffalo NY. In addition, Microsoft showed off its newest Surface model. The show also featured food and drinks, while attendees had opportunities to win many tech-related door prizes. This event will continue to grow and be offered as an annual event. It was organized by Professor Jonas Patricko of Medaille’s Management & Leadership Division,  Joseph McEachon of Adult & Graduate Admissions, and Anthony Dell of Adult & Graduate Admissions.
