In honor of Women’s History Month, Medaille assistant professor Dr. Bridgette K. Slavin will present new research on the topic of women and criminal justice in medieval Ireland for the Canisius College Archives Speakers Series. Based on court documents from 14th century Ireland, the March 15 lecture will examine the crimes, social status and ethnicity of women who received capital punishment in areas of Ireland under British authority.

Dr. Slavin is a visiting assistant professor in Medaille’s Division of Liberal Arts and Communication.
