CPAs-in-training like what they see

“The demand is there and the accounting firms are hiring,” said Michael Lillis, professor and chairman of Medaille College’s business department. “Our program is still in its infancy, so we are just starting to get the attention of some of the larger CPA firms in the area. We are pretty happy with how we are being received, especially because we are still pretty new to the game.”
Patrick Johnson, an associate professor at Medaille College who has taught in the business department for 21 years, says he sees students flocking to accounting programs. “They see more opportunities to land a good job after they graduate,” he says.
