Dr. Clabeaux Presents at New York State Wildlife Rehabilitators Conference
Assistant Professor of Biology and Biology Program Co-Director Bernadette Clabeaux, Ph.D., ’05 presented her research on post-release success in rehabilitated red-tailed hawks at the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitators Conference in Troy, New York, on November 12. Students in her ornithology and ecology labs have assisted with the installation of transmitters on the hawks prior to their release. The transmitters provide data on the location and habits of the rehabilitated animals, and will also be used to help with determining the best release criteria.
