Dr. K. Patrick Fazioli, Visiting Professor, Division of Liberal Arts and Communication

What is your education and background?

I attended Providence College in Rhode Island and earned my Bachelor’s degree in History and French.  Then I earned my M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.  In 2008, I began teaching courses at Medaille and become a full time Visiting Assistant Professor in 2011.

What is your favorite part of working at Medaille?

My colleagues. I feel it really makes or breaks your job.  I also love teaching and interacting with the students.

What are your interests and hobbies?

In my free time, when I am not spending time with my daughter, I enjoy running, playing basketball and reading.

If they made a movie about your life, what would it be about and which actor would you want to play you?

Jesse Eisenberg would play me and the movie would be about my traveling experiences and adventures in Central Europe.

Always contingency planning

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you to choose to go and why?

Mongolia. I have always been fascinated with the area, the landscape and traditional way of life.

What is your favorite restaurant?

 It was the Sterling Place Tavern.  I am disappointed because it closed recently, so I am hoping that it will reopen soon.
