Spotlight On Sharon Trigilio

Sharon Trigilio, Class of 2018, Early Childhood/Childhood Education major
Why did you choose Medaille?
I chose Medaille because of the comfort of it, and the small class sizes and it was local.
What are some of the accomplishments while you have been a student at Medaille that you are most proud of?
I am a Student Ambassador with Admissions. I help with the Disabilities office as a notetaker. I am also on the Softball team and last year I was nominated for Student of the Week. I am also in the peer mentoring program with Dr. Wilkinson and I am a mentee paired up with a student.
How have faculty/staff helped played a role in helping you become successful?
The faculty is always there to help me whenever I have any questions. They are always very motivating and easy to follow. I feel comfortable knowing that I am going to learn.
If you could eat dinner with anyone, who would you choose?
I would have dinner with my family from Italy (Sicily), since I don’t get to see them as much as I would like. My mother’s side lives in Sicily.
What three items would you want to have with you on a deserted island?
I would bring a personal chef so that I would survive. I would bring a notebook and a pencil.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to be either a Kindergarten or 4th grade teacher at hopefully a Western New York school. I plan on having a family someday and be healthy, happy and successful.
