Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (Stem), was literally in the air, on the ground and all over Huber 208 as STEM expert Melanie Sander presented a workshop for the MSED Elementary and Adolescent Education teacher candidates. Ms. Sander is currently a graduate student herself. She runs her own business of presenting curriculum based STEM workshops in schools and for parties. Melanie wowed the crowed with activities to help enrich their teaching and understanding of STEM skills in the classroom, a perfect event for our teachers in training. Pictured are Melanie and curious young scientist Miss Olivia Grant conducting an experiment while her mom, Ms. Kellie Grant observes. Kellie is also a MSED student with the Division of Education. The event took place on November 19th and was facilitated by the Education Graduate Student Society (EGSS) under the leadership of Mary Beth Scumaci and Kelly Ahuna.
